financial aid can make your beauty school more affordable!

Funding Your Education

You can get financial aid from the federal government to help pay for college or career school! Don’t worry—your income is considered, but it doesn’t automatically mean you won’t qualify for financial support.

Imagine starting your dream career without the stress of high costs. Financial aid can make that possible!

Federal Pell Grants

A Federal Pell Grant, unlike a loan, does not have to be repaid except under certain circumstances. Find out why you might have to repay all or part of a federal grant.
You may not receive Federal Pell Grant funds from more than one school at a time.

How to Apply Federal School Code: 042952

It would help if you started by submitting a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) form. Schools use the information on the FAFSA® form to determine your eligibility for a Pell Grant and, if so, how much you’re eligible to receive. You must fill out the FAFSA form every year you’re in school to stay eligible for federal student aid, including Pell Grant awards.
Award Amounts

Award amounts can change yearly.

2023–24 Award Year
The maximum Federal Pell Grant award is $7,395 for the 2023–24 award year (July 1, 2023, to June 30, 2024).

2024–25 Award Year
The maximum Federal Pell Grant award is $7,395 for the 2024–25 award year (July 1, 2024, to June 30, 2025).

Direct Subsidized Loans have slightly better terms to help out students with financial need.

  • while you’re in school at least half-time,
  • for the first six months after you leave school (referred to as a grace period*) and
  • during a period of deferment (a postponement of loan payments).

Direct Unsubsidized Loans

Who can get Direct Unsubsidized Loans?

beauty schools. Financial aid can significantly help make beauty education more affordable for aspiring students. By offering various grants, loans, and scholarships, financial assistance is designed to reduce the cost of tuition and related expenses, making it easier to pursue a career in the beauty industry. Students who qualify for aid may be eligible for government-funded programs like the FAFSA or other private funding sources, which can cover a portion or even the entirety of educational costs. With financial aid, the burden of paying for classes, supplies, and certifications is alleviated, allowing students to focus more on their studies and hands-on training. The availability of such aid can open doors for individuals who may otherwise find it challenging to afford the education required to become a licensed professional. In this way, financial aid plays a crucial role in making beauty education more accessible and within reach for many.
