Affinity Hair Academy offers an Institutional Hardship Scholarship of up to $3,000, for those who qualify. It helps Cosmetology and Master Barber students with documented financial need cover the cost of their program after all other aid has been applied.

Who is eligible?

To be considered, you must:

  • Be accepted into the Cosmetology (1,200 hours) or Master Barber (1,200 hours) program
  • Complete the FAFSA using Federal School Code 042952
  • Have financial need: an unpaid balance after your FAFSA, VA benefits and any other grants or scholarships are applied
  • Provide documents that show the financial hardship
  • Meet all admission requirements and sign the enrollment agreement

The Hardship Scholarship is not available for the Nail Technician, Full Specialty or Restricted Barber programs.

How the award works

  • The award is up to $3,000 and is never more than your unpaid balance for tuition and fees.
  • The amount depends on your unpaid balance and the hardship you document. It is not based on when or how you pay.
  • The scholarship is a credit to your tuition account. It has no cash value.
  • You must stay enrolled and meet Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) to keep the scholarship.
  • If you withdraw, any part of the scholarship not yet applied is canceled.
  • The scholarship may reduce federal student loan eligibility.
